East Office of Finnish Industries is a non-profit company established in spring 2008 by 19 leading Finnish corporations. East Office works to support the activities of its member corporations in the Russian market and promote Finnish industrial companies as partners for Russian firms seeking to increase their own domestic and global reach. East Office encourages personal contacts between Russian decision-makers and the management of its member corporations. The Finnish Foreign Ministry has an expert member on the board of East Office.
The activities of East Office include:
- Gathering and assessing information about economic and political development in Russia
- Maintaining a comprehensive network of contacts with Russian businesses and political leaders at federal and regional levels
- Promoting relations with authorities, politicians and media in Russia, Finland and Europe
- Sharing information among East Office members and partners
- Arranging seminars, meetings and other opportunities for interaction among interested persons/companies and East Office partners
- Providing in-depth consultations for members as requested.
