CEO of East Office of Finnish Industries Lauri Veijalainen has decided to resign from his position to pursue new challenges outside East Office. Veijalainen will continue as the CEO of East Office until the end of July 2023.
“I warmly thank Lauri for his significant work for East Office. Under Lauri’s leadership, East Office has been able to continuously rebuild and further develop its services through the global crises of first pandemic and then the war in Ukraine. Lauri has successfully led the biggest strategy change in East Office history, turning the company from Russia to growing markets in Ukraine and Central Asia.
We will start the recruitment process for new CEO immediately, and I am confident that we will find an excellent successor to complete the transformation. I am grateful for Lauri for committing to stay with us until the end of July to smooth the transition” says the Executive Chairman of East Office’s Board of Directors Ilkka Salonen.
“It has been a great pleasure to lead the important work of East Office for the extremely challenging but very rewarding past 3,5 years. I would like to especially thank our excellent team and our active companies. We have grown and developed East Office together into the modern and efficient business community it is today,“ says Lauri Veijalainen, CEO of East Office.
Veijalainen has served as the CEO of East Office since 2019. The search for new CEO is launched immediately.
